Spotlight | Health and Wellness

Welcome to Broadway Stages’ Spotlight, where we feature local shops, restaurants, organizations, individuals, and venues. With a new year, we embrace new opportunities and many of us begin the year determined to live healthier lives in both body and mind.  In today’s blog we suggest a few great ways to help you pursue and achieve those goals right in your neighborhood.

The idea of getting or staying fit can be intimidating. But don’t let the challenge scare you off! Sometimes, all it takes is the right coach and the right team to help you on your way.  You just need to take the first step.

The dedicated team at CrossFit Glendale in Queens is ready to help anyone willing to make the first step. CrossFit Glendale is committed to helping you become stronger, faster, more flexible, and healthier than you ever imagined. If you’re willing to put in the work, they’ll be with you every step of the way. Their 4,500 sq. ft. facility is equipped with everything you need to achieve your fitness goals. And their beginner’s program will help to make it possible. For more information about schedules and pricing, contact them at (718) 506-6295 or oren@cfglendale.com. And you can always check them out on Facebook and Instagram.

If you want to get fit but want to try something less traditional? Then we suggest you check out Vital Climbing Gym in Brooklyn. This year-round indoor/outdoor climbing gym has a little something for everyone. From accessible courses for beginners to more challenging climbs for those with experience. The climbing community at Vital is supportive and makes sure everyone has fun, whatever your level of climbing experience. They offer group classes, private training, and rental gear, so all you need to bring is a positive attitude and an open mind. They also offer courses in aerial silks, general fitness, and yoga! If you are new to climbing, don’t worry! All levels of experience are welcome. In fact, if you give it a try, you won’t be a beginner for long! You can contact them at (716) 220-8195 or brooklyncrew@vitalclimbinggym.com. Or visit them virtually on Facebook and Instagram before you come in person!
