Celebrate Pride Month!
/Join Broadway Stages as we celebrate Pride throughout the month of June, honoring the LGBTQIA+ community and their diverse, rich contributions to our society. Look for our blog posts featuring local LGBTQIA+ businesses and organizations, as well as LGBTQIA+ related films and tv series.
And Pride month means the Annual NYC Pride March on June 26, starting at Noon (from 25th Street and 5th Avenue). There will be other events in June, including Family Movie Night on June 15 at The Battery (State Street & Battery Place, New York 10004). The event is free, but registration is required. Learn more about New York City’s official LGBTQIA+ Pride events and about the nonprofit organization that plans and produces them, Heritage of Pride.
We also recommend checking out the NYC Parks website for their Pride at NYC Parks page, featuring “parks and historic sites in New York City that commemorate the history and legacy of the LGBTQIA+ movement and community.” You can also find NYC Parks Pride month events.
Find more information about the history of the LGBTQIA+ movement on Google’s Pride page, including a look at the history of the Pride flag on Google Arts & Culture. Broadway Stages is honored to support the Gilbert Baker Foundation and to help promote the history and intrinsic meaning of the LGBTQIA+ rainbow flag.
