Folks in our fair city love food. We love to talk about it, blog about it and most importantly, we love to EAT it and savor the many amazing flavors and cuisines that are available across all five boroughs. The foundation of our food obsession is fed by local eateries, with many of our favorites just around the corner from where we live or work. Today, we shine the spotlight on a local food truck that is doing their part to feed our fixation on food, meet the StrEat Kings!

Otherwise known as Rolling Royalty, StrEAT Kings was created by local Chef’s Chris Liz and Mike DeVito, who found themselves working the kitchen line at a local restaurant during the pandemic. The mutual talent of these two chefs emerged onto the Astoria food scene with a plan to pay homage to their hometown, their industry and the culinary experiences that made them who they are today. With a professional – albeit rolling – kitchen and artisanal cooking style, they transform traditional New York favorites from different cultures and communities into one amazing menu. Local patrons have been delighted by the flavors that come from this mobile eatery. They offer local sandwich staples such as chopped cheeses, gyros, and bacon egg and cheese – but all transformed with ingredients like gochujang and confit pork. Other less common items also guest star on the menu such as shrimp Rangoon, tostones nachos, fully loaded tater tots and arancini made with Canadian bacon. Is your mouth watering yet?
