Reminder – 93rd Academy Awards on Sunday, April 25 on ABC
/The 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony will air live this Sunday, April 25 at 8 pm ET on CBS. For the third year in a row, the Oscars won’t have a host to emcee the proceedings. The show will air from multiple locations including the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood that has been the home of the Academy Awards for nearly two decades. Vanity Fair reports that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences “…is determined to present an Oscars like none other, while prioritizing the public health and safety of all those who will participate." The producers Jesse Collins and Stacey Sher, and director Steven Soderbergh are crafting a show like no other, saying that their plan for the ceremony is to “… focus on the movies and the people who make them in a new way, and we hope to create a show that really feels like the movies we all love.” Of significance, this year includes a record number of women and minorities nominated and the number of firsts to be celebrated. The full list of nominees can be found here. Now let’s see who gets an Oscar. Good luck to all the nominees from Broadway Stages.
