“New Amsterdam”(NBC) Returning in March
The popular medical drama “New Amsterdam” is coming back to NBC for its third season on Tuesday, March 2 at 10 pm ET. Inspired by Dr. Eric Manheimer’s memoir “Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital,” the show follows Dr. Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold), the medical director of one of the country’s oldest public hospitals, as he seeks to improve patient care by cutting through the red tape in his way.
When the show returns it will focus on current events, as Max and his team deal with a pandemic that upends day-to-day operations at New Amsterdam Medical Center. Can they continue to focus on fixing the aging facility’s shortcomings and the nation’s broken healthcare system while simultaneously fighting a massively disruptive pandemic? How will the arrival of new doctor Cassian Shin (Daniel Dae Kim) affect the team dynamic? Tune in on March 2 to find out.

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” (NBC) Announces New Cast Member
In the latest addition to the “Law & Order” franchise, Christopher Meloni is set to return as Detective Elliot Stabler, who was last seen retiring from the NYPD following the 12th season of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” While NBC has not revealed a lot of details about this SVU spin-off, Stabler is reportedly coming out of retirement to lead an organized crime task force following a life-changing tragedy.
We recently learned that Dylan McDermott will be joining the cast. McDermott is no stranger to legal dramas, as he is best known to TV audiences for his seven seasons portraying Bobby Donnell on ABC’s “The Practice.” Additionally, Mariska Hargitay recently posted a photo to Instagram showing her and Meloni on the set of the new show, confirming that her character Olivia Benson will appear at some point in the first season. Danielle Moné Truitt and Tamara Taylor were also recently announced as regular cast members.
"Law & Order: Organized Crime" will premiere April 1 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, as part of a crossover with "Law & Order: SVU" at 9 p.m. that night.
Seventh Season of “Younger” Filming in NYC (TV Land)
“Younger,” TV Land’s longest running original series, is currently filming its seventh and reportedly final season in New York City. It has been over a year since we last saw Liza, Maggie, Kelsey and the rest of the gang, as the pandemic majorly delayed production on the popular show. Season six wrapped up in September 2019, and fans have been waiting patiently for updates on when the show will return. While TV Land has not yet announced a return date, we can report that the cast has been busy filming in New York City and at our studios.
“Younger” centers on Liza Miller (Sutton Foster), a 40-year-old divorced mother who lies about her age in order to land a job with a publishing company. Hilary Duff (who is currently pregnant with her third child), Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, and Nico Tortorella co-star in the Darren Star (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Melrose Place,” and “Sex and the City”) production, which is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran. This is must see TV folks!

“The Flight Attendant” (HBO Max) Will Return for a Second Season
The HBO Max production “The Flight Attendant” was such a big hit when it launched in December that it has landed a second season. Based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian, the show stars Kaley Cuoco as alcoholic flight attendant Cassie Bowden. In season one, Cassie woke up in a Bangkok hotel room next to the dead body of a passenger named Alex (Michiel Huisman) who she had slept with the night before.
Season one ended with Cassie solving the mystery of who murdered Alex, but there are many plot points that remain up in the air and could be explored in season two. Can Cassie stay sober? What will happen to her colleagues Shane (Griffin Matthews) and Megan (Rosie Perez)? Will Miranda (Michelle Gomez) or Buckley (Colin Woodell) return? And will Cassie’s best friend Annie (Zosia Mamet) make things work with Max (Deniz Akdeniz) and reestablish her legal practice? We will keep you posted as we learn more.
