Congratulations to the Critics’ Choice Awards Nominees

This week, nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards were announced, and we are excited to learn that several productions filmed at Broadway Stages’ are up for awards.

"Evil," which airs on Paramount+ and is filmed in our Greenpoint studio, earned five nominations, tying HBO's "Mare of Easttown" and trailing only HBO's "Succession," which garnered eight. Mike Colter and Katja Herbers are, respectively, up for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series for their performances on "Evil," and their co-stars Andrea Martin and Christine Lahti will go head-to-head in the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category. We are proud of the success of the show's first two seasons and cannot wait to see what season three (currently filming) brings.

Additional dramas affiliated with Broadway Stages and nominated for multiple awards include "The Good Fight" (Paramount+), which is up for four, and "Pose" (FX), with three nods. Billy Porter of "Pose" will compete for Best Actor in a Drama Series, and his co-star MJ Rodriguez is in the running for Best Actress in a Drama Series. In fact, three of the six nominees for Best Actress in a Drama Series are Broadway Stages regulars, as "The Good Fight" star Christine Baranski joins Rodriguez and Herbers in that category. Two of Baranski's co-stars, Mandy Patinkin and Audra McDonald, are up for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Drama Series, respectively.

In the highly competitive Best Drama Series category, "Evil," "The Good Fight," and "Pose" will take on frontrunner "Succession."

Broadway Stages is also represented in the limited series categories, as Peacock's "Dr. Death" earned a nomination for Best Limited Series, and stars Joshua Jackson and Christian Slater are respectively nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television.

Winners will be announced on Sunday, January 9 in a live ceremony held in Los Angeles. Best of luck and congratulations to all who were nominated.
