This week’s business spotlight is about an organization we are familiar with, NYC Together. Broadway Stages has supported this group since they were founded in 2015 and today, more than ever, their work is needed to help our youth learn how to deal with the serious issues we are facing today. From COVID-19 to the fight for racial equality, our community and nation is in discord and NYC Together provides the tools to help our youth.

A non-profit organization, NYC Together focuses on positive informal police/community interaction. The program, in partnership with the NYPD 90th Precinct and local public high schools, offers police officers the opportunity to work with young people from their communities as peers, collaborators, and mentors. Founded by Dana Rachlin who also serves the executive director, NYC Together provides an opportunity for students of color and NYC police officers to support one another in collaborative efforts to increase civic engagement, foster leadership and strengthen communities.  We need organizations and programs like these throughout our community and we need to help insure they are properly funded. Please join us in supporting NYC Together. If you are able, consider a donation. We encourage you to learn more about NYC Together and to be part of the solution.
