Many of us are familiar with pawn shops from reality shows like “Pawn Stars.” But you may have seen EZ Pawn Corp (EZP) on productions that film at Broadway Stages such as “Elsbeth,” “FBI,” and “Jessica Jones.”  But what do you really know about pawn shops, and what services do they provide? 

Licensed and bonded since 1996, EZP is a financial institution that will give a customer a 4-month loan with a low monthly interest rate of 4%. The size of the loan depends on the value of the collateral (the item the customer is pawning). Customers who are not interested in a loan can also sell their items for a fair price.

The process is simple. Just bring an item of value to an EZ Pawn location, and a knowledgeable and friendly loan officer will appraise the item for its loan value. To sell an item, you must provide a form of state-issued identification proving that you are 18 years or older and that the item belongs to you. Before you know it, you can walk out with a loan agreement and cash in hand!
