This year marks the 40th anniversary of Broadway Stages. In celebration of our 40th trip around the sun, we are shining the spotlight on the heart of our community – the local businesses that provide the essential or simply enjoyable, goods and services that allow us to thrive and delight in this great city we call home. We begin the series in our beloved Brooklyn with a look at the local shops that line our streets, providing a livelihood for our neighbors, family, and friends. Join us on our journey and get to know the people and businesses that make our community home. Today, we feature one of the best local Italian restaurants in Greenpoint. None other than Le Fanfare!         

Le Fanfare! Just the name conjures a smile. Featuring authentic, farm to restaurant, Italian food, Le Fanfare is brimming with warm, rustic appeal, and offers the highest quality ingredients to create simple yet delicious Italian meals.

Founded in 2014 by Sardinian friends who fell in love with New York City (and decided to make it their home), Le Fanfare is the second restaurant of Luca and Girogia Fadda, and Nicola Paganelli (their first, Epistrophy, located in the heart of Nolita in NYC, opened in 2005). This 70-seat restaurant was designed by Milan artist and architect Giuseppe Amato. The décor is a play on contrasts – traditional and modern while also sophisticated and comfortable. Two inviting communal tables stretch the length of the restaurant, flanked by wooden booths and marble tables for two along the opposite wall.

Under the culinary artistry of Chef Adam Ross, Le Fanfare serves Sardinian-inspired recipes. All the pastas and breads are made in house and the ingredients are meticulously sourced to create seasonal Italian food made with regionally sourced products.  Le Fanfare’s philosophy is simple: Offer rustic, simple and excellent Italian cuisine in an enticing and warm environment complimented by beautiful wine and cocktail offerings with a live jazz soundtrack.
