"Spoiler Alert" Coming to Theaters Soon
/As a premiere studio production company in New York, Broadway Stages provides facilities for many television programs and film projects. We are thrilled that one such feature film is coming soon to a theater near you, and just in time for awards season.
"Spoiler Alert" stars Jim Parsons ("Big Bang Theory") as Michael Ausiello, author of the bestselling memoir "Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies." The memoir chronicles his 14-year relationship with photographer Kit Cowan, who (spoiler alert!) died of terminal cancer in 2015. Joining Parsons is Ben Aldridge ("Pennyworth") as Cowan and two-time Oscar winner Sally Field as Cowan's mother. Bill Irwin ("Legion"), Antoni Porowski ("Queer Eye"), and Jeffery Self ("Search Party") will also appear in the film. Michael Showalter ("The Eyes of Tammy Faye" and "The Big Sick") is in the director's chair, which means audiences can expect equal amounts of laughter and tears.
Parsons recently appeared on "The Tonight Show" and had to hold back tears as he described the film: "It's a heartbreaking and really tumultuous journey but also one of those that opens your eyes to the life you do have and the love that you can share in a way that, without it, you don't always see as clearly."
"Spoiler Alert" will open in select cities (New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) on December 2 and then expand domestically on December 9. The worldwide release is scheduled for December 16. Bring your tissues, because this one brings all the feels.
