Broadway Stages Congratulates SAG Award Nominees
/The Screen Actors Guild announced the nominees for its annual awards show, and we are happy to report that an actor has been nominated for his performance in a production filmed at Broadway Stages; Ewan McGregor will compete for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for his performance in Netflix’s “Halston.”
HBO’s taut family drama “Succession” and Apple TV+’s feel-good comedy “Ted Lasso” lead the television nominations with five each. HBO’s “Mare of Easttown,” Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show,” and Netflix’s “Squid Game” are each up for four.
In the film categories, Jane Campion’s western drama “The Power of the Dog” is up for three individual awards, leading all other films for individual achievements. Ridley Scott’s true-crime drama “House of Gucci” is also up for three, including one for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Helen Mirren will be honored with a Life Achievement Award for her contributions to the entertainment industry. The 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held on Sunday, February 27 and simulcast live on TNT and TBS. Best of luck to all nominees!
