Creators of "The Good Fight" Pen Five-Year Deal with CBS
/At Broadway Stages, we love to help producers, writers, actors, and other artists share entertaining and compelling stories. We have a longstanding relationship with CBS and particularly producers Robert and Michelle King, the creators of hit shows like “The Good Wife,” its spinoff “The Good Fight,” and the supernatural thriller “Evil;” all three shows filmed at our soundstages. We are happy to report that the duo recently signed a deal that will keep them at CBS for at least five more years.
“The Good Fight” recently returned to Paramount+ for its fifth season, while three episodes of the second season of “Evil” are now available to watch on the streaming service. We are excited to see these shows come back as the New York film and television industry continues to recover from the pandemic. We are also thrilled that CBS has renewed “Evil” for a third season.
In a press release, President and CEO of CBS George Cheeks stated: “Robert and Michelle represent an elite class of producers who consistently deliver intelligent, provocative and acclaimed series across all platforms… Their stories are brilliant, the characters are memorable and the productions always have a sharp, premium visual style. The Kings’ contributions to CBS are significant and this ongoing partnership is a major source of pride for our company.”
David Stapf, President of CBS Studios, added: “Michelle and Robert have been integral to our success as a studio for more than a decade. We are continually bowled over by their ability to invent new forms of storytelling and their uncanny knack of being prescient and relatable while holding a mirror up to culture… Their series have all been landmark, genre-busting shows, widely recognized among television’s best. They are simply extraordinary, and we are so proud and honored to be continuing our partnership.”
We also look forward to future collaborations with the Kings and CBS — our stages and locations are open for your creatively captivating entertainment.
