"The Good Fight" Season 5 Returns June 24th on Paramount+
/“The Good Fight” rarely shies away from tackling current events, so when the show returns to Paramount+ on June 24, expect Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and Liz Lawrence (Audra McDonald) to reflect on the January 6 Capitol insurrection, the murder of George Floyd, and other major events of the past year.
On Friday June 18, show creators Robert and Michelle King and several cast members discussed the upcoming season as part of a panel discussion at the virtual ATX TV Festival. The Kings said the upcoming season will tackle issues of race without offering any “easy answers.”
Mandy Patinkin joins the cast this season as Hal Wackner, a man without any legal training who opens a court in the back of a copy shop. Also joining the cast is Charmaine Bingwa, who will play young lawyer Carmen Moyo.
Broadway Stages has a longstanding relationship with the Kings and CBS, as our studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn served as filming locations for both “The Good Wife” and its spin-off “The Good Fight.” The Kings’ latest production “Evil” was also filmed here in Brooklyn at one of our studios. Following a successful first season, “Evil” will return for its second season soon. We are so excited to see these shows come back as the New York film and television industry recovers from the pandemic. We are happy to be a part of it! Set your calendar to watch “The Good Fight” tomorrow night, June 24.
