NOoSPHERE Arts Celebrates 10 – Unveils Artists’ Sculpture

It was worth the wait! On Saturday, June 6th NOoSPHERE Arts held their 10th anniversary celebration and also unveiled the sculpture created by AnkhLave Arts Alliance’s first artist in residence, Yvonne Shortt. Take a look at the images below and join us in congratulating NOoSPHERE Arts for their contribution to the arts and to Yvonne Shortt for her creativity and commitment to conceive art with a moral conscience.  Shortt’s sculpture, nestled among the wildflowers at the entrance of the Kingsland Wildflowers garden rooftop, is the face of a cherub inspired girl - created to educate others about the cost of humanity, and the positive environmental impact of our green rooftops. The sculpture will remain at Kingsland Wildflowers over the summer and then move to Queens College. Broadway Stages is thrilled to provide a platform for BIPOC artists and proud to support diversity in the arts, and the inherent connection between nature and art.  Learn more about Ms. Shortt and the portfolio of art she has conscientiously and deliberately brought to our city. Please join us in supporting our local arts community and our arts partner NOoSPHERE Arts.
