TCAH Green Teens Summer Program is Back | July 2021

This summer, The Campaign Against Hunger’s (TCAH) Green Teens program returns in full-swing!  Over a 10 week period, young adults between the ages of 14 and 24 are given the opportunity to cultivate an understanding and deeper appreciation for growing, nurturing, and harvesting the foods we eat every day. The Green Teens program is a compensated, farm-based work experience that allows young adults to gain hands-on experience in farm and market management. The program includes courses on Food Justice, Agriculture, Horticulture, Business, Management, and Self-Development. Each year, the TCAH farms harvest an astounding 20,000 pounds of products that are donated to local communities and food deserts throughout the growing season.  If you are interested in learning about urban farming and being a part of the food insecurity solution, we encourage you to consider spending your summer on the TCAH farms in Brooklyn.  Take a look at the eligibility requirements and apply for the program online. The program begins in July so don’t delay. Secure your spot and get ready for an amazing summer!
