Final Season of "Younger" Set to Drop on Paramount+

Now that filming has safely resumed in New York City and elsewhere, new episodes of your favorite shows are on their way to a streaming device near you. On Thursday, April 15, fans of TV Land’s longest running original series “Younger” will be reunited with Liza Miller (Sutton Foster) and her friends and colleagues they have come to know and love over the course of six seasons.

“Younger” tells the story of a 40-year-old divorced mother who lies about her age in order to land a job with a major publishing company. The Darren Star (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Melrose Place,” and “Sex and the City”) production is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran.

The seventh and final season will include some major changes. The series is switching to a new network (Paramount+), and several sources report that two characters will be less prominent than in previous seasons due to pandemic-related scheduling conflicts. Charles Michael Davis, who portrays editor Zane Anders, and Miriam Shor, who plays head of marketing at Diana Trout, will switch to recurring roles in the final season. In other cast-related news, Hilary Duff, who plays book editor Kelsey Peters, was pregnant while filming the new season and had her third child (a girl named Mae James Bair) on March 24.

Since season six wrapped up in September 2019, fans have been waiting patiently for the final 12 episodes to land. Four episodes will drop on April 15, with the rest to follow each week on Thursdays. Reportedly, all episodes will also be available to watch on Hulu, and the full season will air on TV Land later in the year.

We wish the cast and crew the best of luck as they move on to new adventures. We are proud that Broadway Stages was the studio production partner-of-choice, and we hope to see them again soon as we continue to foster the New York film and television industry and our local economy.
