Business Spotlight | Trattoria L’incontro Restaurant
/Welcome to Broadway Stages’ Business Spotlight, where we feature local shops, restaurants and venues in the communities where we have operations. We encourage our readers to join us in supporting these establishments and advancing local economic growth.
Who among us doesn’t miss opening up a bottle of wine or sparkling water with friends over dinner? The aromas wafting in from the kitchen of your favorite restaurant, the warm glow of tea candles on the table, and the growing laughter as the night goes on. While experiences like these are currently in short supply, no restaurant’s food or ambiance conjures up these types of memories quite like Trattoria L’incontro. Having served the neighborhood of Astoria since 1999, Trattoria L’incontro are masters of Italian cuisine, guided by the steady hand of Chef Rocco Sacramone.
Chef Sacramone moved to New York in 1970 and began his training as a chef not long afterwards. His years of experience are on full display on Trattoria L’incontro’s highly curated menu which features plenty of Italian classics as well as some more cutting-edge fare for those looking for something new. We recommend you take a look at their Instagram and Facebook pages if you’re curious about the offerings at Trattoria L’incontro. Hours can be found on their website, and you can dine-in or order out.
Recently, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy helped raise $100,000 for the restaurant which had been feeling the strains of the pandemic, much like most of the industry. The fundraiser was sparked by a viral post from Trattoria L’incontro featuring Chef Sacramone sitting down to a meal in the restaurant’s outdoor area during a blizzard. Shortly afterward the restaurant was featured on Barstool Sports’ prominent Pizza Review series which was received very well by fans. Chef Sacramone was also featured on the Wendy Williams show during NYC Restaurant Week in January. Let’s take a page from Portnoy’s playbook and show Trattoria L’incontro some love. Grab your mask and head over to enjoy some of the best Italian Cuisine in the City. Be sure to tell them Broadway Stages sent you!
