Apple TV+ Announces Cast of "Hello Tomorrow!"

Since launching two years ago, Apple TV+ has won over audiences with original programming like the immensely popular “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show.” Next up for the subscription streaming service is “Hello Tomorrow!” a half-hour dramedy set in a retro-future world in which a group of traveling salesmen hawk lunar timeshares. We are thrilled that our Brooklyn facilities are supporting the filming of this production.

Billy Crudup, who won an Emmy for “The Morning Show” in 2020, stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers and revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him. Crudup is also well-known for his performances in “Almost Famous” and “Big Fish.”

Rounding out the cast will be Emmy winner Hank Azaria, Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nick Podany, Dewshane Williams, and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver as Jack’s mother. Azaria is best known for his voicework on “The Simpsons,” portraying bartender Moe Szyslak, police chief Clancy Wiggum, and Kwik-E-Mart owner Apu, among other characters. Weaver has twice been nominated for an Oscar in the supporting actress category, most recently for her portrayal of the matriarch of the dysfunctional Solitano family in 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Series creator Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Apple TV+ has not announced a premiere date yet, but the 10-episode first season should be available to the service’s 20 million subscribers sometime in 2022. Stay tuned for more updates.
