Celebrating National Arts in Education Week

Join Broadway Stages as we celebrate National Arts in Education Week and the transformative power of arts in education.  Designated by Congress in 2010 through House Resolution 275, the celebration brings attention to the importance of arts education and equitable access to the arts for all students across our nation.

The arts are an essential part of a complete and balanced education for all students. The rich array of disciplines including dance, music, theatre, media arts, literature, design, and visual arts, provides a multitude of benefits. Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills.  Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.  What more can we say?  Click here to view an infographic, about the many benefits associated with arts education. To all of the artists that support the TV/Film industry, we thank you for your creativity, brilliance and commitment to excellence.  To your teachers, professors and parents who nurtured and expanded your dreams, we are eternally grateful.
