Brooklyn Chamber Tours Greenpoint
/Last week the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce toured businesses along Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint to check in with the various businesses that call Greenpoint home. The tour was led by non-other than our very own Greenpoint native Monica Holowacz, Director of Community Relations at Broadway Stages. Greenpoint has historically been the Polish hamlet of New York City and that presence remains today along with a diverse group of newcomers who now call Greenpoint home. The charm of Greenpoint, it’s Polish roots, urban-industrial chic atmosphere and notable film and TV production has drawn many. These businesses are working tirelessly to provide products and services to the community and are striving to overcome the financial impact of COVID-19.
The Brooklyn Chamber team and President & CEO Randy Peers met with business owners along Manhattan Ave. and surrounding streets and provided each with a supply of masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. While there was a lot of activity, and a number of stores are open for business, many are still shuttered. Please help us in supporting our local businesses. Follow safety and healthy protocols while doing so and get the word out – Greenpoint is open for business and we need your patronage. Together we will not just bounce back but bounce FORWARD! Thanks to the Brooklyn Chamber for their leadership and support of Greenpoint, Brooklyn based businesses.
