Celebrating National Nurses Week | A Renewed Appreciation

National Nurses Week is celebrated every year from May 6 to May 12. Globally, the nursing profession marks a milestone in 2020, as the World Health Organization declares it the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale on May 12, 1820.

What an appropriate time to honor the commitment, dedication and hard work of those in the nursing profession. This year, more than ever, nurses worldwide are risking their lives as they battle on the front line to help fight COVID-19.  Their efforts are a direct reflection of the theme of National Nurses Week 2020, Compassion - Expertise - Trust.

Please join us as we say thank you to the nurses in New York and across the globe, for their professionalism, constant strength, and generous, loving care. We are grateful and indebted to your service for our community.  Thank you!
