Supporting Community and Local Businesses During COVID-19

Broadway Stages recently partnered with Syrena Bakery, a Brooklyn institution for over 25 years, to provide 200 loaves of bread to a food pantry in the Bushwick area, created by Anita Haines who leads Ujima Community Working Together. The food pantry is located at 1139 Bushwick Avenue and is open to serve local residents in need of food. A longstanding leader in the Bushwick community, Miss Anita has been supporting her neighbors for years through a variety of programs and events.

We thank both the Syrena Bakery and Ujima Community Working Together for helping our community. We are honored to partner with organizations that help those in need, especially during these challenging times. Thank you!
