Brooklyn Chamber Tours Businesses Along and Around Franklin Street

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce was at it again, checking in on various businesses that call Greenpoint home, this time along and around Franklin Street.  The main purpose was to hear from thoughtful business owners about what is happening on the ground. They also provided PPE in the form of masks and gloves, and shared information about resources available to businesses in need of additional support, including the NYC Small business Resource Network.  In addition, the Chamber recently hired a restaurant adviser, Nicole Biscardi [nbiscardi@brooklynchamber.com], who is prepared to provide guidance to restaurants on how to navigate the various regulations, requirements and criteria related to the use of outdoor heaters.  The tour was led by the Brooklyn Chamber’s President & CEO Randy Peers along with several Chamber team members.  In August, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce toured businesses along Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. Both tours were led by Greenpoint native Monica Holowacz, Director of Community Relations at Broadway Stages.

While business is picking up, our local shops and restaurants need our support.  Please help us by shopping locally.  Follow safety and health protocols while doing so and get the word out – Greenpoint is open for business and we need your patronage. Thanks to the Brooklyn Chamber for their leadership and support of Greenpoint, Brooklyn based businesses. For more information about the Brooklyn Chamber click here.
