Business Spotlight | Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop

WARNING!  This blog may cause an uncontrollable craving for donuts. We mean it folks. If you are from Greenpoint or if you have ever visited, you most certainly have heard of Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop. This establishment has been serving the finest donuts and baked treats for over 60 years. You heard that right – six decades!  It’s a place that locals hold dear, and new residents go to as a rite of passage.  Thirty years ago, Donna Siafakas and her husband Christos took over the bakery but that’s about the only change that has taken place in over 60 years.  The recipe they use today is the same and these delicious classic donuts come in 20 varieties from sour cream and jelly to chocolate, glazed and more!  In the summertime they even make donut ice cream sandwiches.  In addition to donuts the shop offers amazing filled eclairs, cinnamon buns, crullers and other delicious sweet treats.  The S-shaped counter is classic as are the uniforms worn by the staff (bright green and pink).  If you have not had the privilege of enjoying a donut from Peter Pan you really need to put on a mask and head over to 727 Manhattan Avenue.
