The 92nd Academy Award nominations have been announced, and Todd Phillips' dark psychological drama "Joker" leads all films with 11 nominations, including Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Picture. Three other films – Martin Scorsese's epic mob drama "The Irishman," Quentin Tarantino's historically reimagined "Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood," and Sam Mendes' powerful WWI drama "1917" – each earned 10 nominations, including for Best Picture.

Both "Joker" and "The Irishman" feature pivotal scenes filmed in New York City and its boroughs, as does Noah Baumbach's "Marriage Story," which is nominated for six awards including Best Picture. We are thrilled that more and more productions are coming out of our great city.

Rounding out the nominees for Best Picture are "Ford v Ferrari," "Jojo Rabbit," "Little Women," and "Parasite." Also of note is that Scarlett Johansson has earned two Oscar nominations (the first of her career) with a nomination for Best Actress for "Marriage Story" and Best Supporting Actress for "Jojo Rabbit."

Lastly, we must give a shout out to Netflix, which leads all studios in nominations with 24 (led by "The Irishman," "Marriage Story," and "The Two Popes.") Several Netflix productions have been filmed at our sound stages over the past year ("When They See Us" and "Orange Is the New Black," to name a few), and we have our fingers crossed that they will win big on February 9 when the winners are announced.

Congratulations to all the nominees!
