This Week’s Eats | Corazón de México
/Mexican food — you can never go wrong. Pico de gallo, guacamole, tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, salas verde, queso, and don’t even get us started on the classic beverages. Hungry yet? Well we were and we feasted on some of the most amazing Mexican food in NYC, brought to us this week from Corazón de México located in Long Island City. What a special treat for our Friday staff lunch. Take a look at the photo gallery below to see what our feast looked like. And yes, it tasted as good as it looks!
Corazón de México is a classic that boasts authentic food lovingly prepared by Chef Maria Iglesias. Born in Puebla, México, Chef Maria has honed her skills in the Mexican culinary arts for more than 20 years. She arrived in the Big Apple in 1985 and, like so many immigrants before her, has worked tirelessly to achieve her American dream! Chef Maria opened her first restaurant in 2000 (La Hacienda), and in 2012 launched La Adelita Restaurant and Bakery in Woodside, Queens. In 2016 she opened Corazón de México in Long Island City where you can experience authentic Mexican cuisine, culture and tradition. All of Chef Maria’s recipes and ingredients used are the real deal, and you can tell by the amazing flavor.
Next time you are craving Mexican cuisine, head on over to Long Island City and pull up a chair at Corazón de México. We feel certain this will become your go to place for Mexican food. It is most certainly ours. Gracias Chef Maria for graciously serving your customers in LIC.
