Staten Island Film Students Take a Look Behind-the-Scenes

Cinema Studies students from The City University of New York’s [CUNY] College of Staten Island [CSI] recently visited Broadway Stages’ campus in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, taking a behind-the-scenes look at the real world of TV and film studio production. The students, from CSI’s Department of Media Culture, not only got to see soundstages, but also toured Kingsland Wildflowers at Broadway Stages, one of our rooftop gardens, that helps to nurture our habitat and ecosystem.

Broadway Stages is proud to support STEAM education at all levels by hosting special tours for college film students, as well as various programs for elementary, middle and high school students across NYC. By giving Arts students a sneak peek into our operations, we aspire to cultivate the next generation of TV and film industry leaders. View a sample of the quality work that Professor of Cinema Studies, David A. Gerstner and his students are producing in this five-minute video, “CSI: We Bring the World to You.” For more information about CSI’s degree in Media Studies click here.
