Broadway Stages co-sponsored a night out in Albany. Thank you to Vicki and Josh Schneps of Queens Courier for a wonderful event and congratulations to Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie who won the Mario Cuomo Community Service Award.
In 2012, a group of local businesses, organizations, and community members started the Big Brooklyn Holiday Toy Drive to collect toys for local kids affected by Hurricane Sandy. This year, Broadway Stages donated toys and sponsored the "Ugly Sweater" photo booth.

Thank you to Elizabeth Hulsen and the Community Council of the 94th Precinct for bringing together such a wonderful group of kids for a successful toy drive. This year, nearly 100 kids received toys, built gingerbread houses, decorated reindeer antlers, enjoyed snacks with Santa, and took photos in the booth.
Santa Claus is coming to town. He will be available from Dec. 4 to 21 at the Shops at Atlas Park. Broadway Stages wishes everyone a happy holiday!
More than 1,000 community members came out to celebrate Halloween at McGolrick Park. Broadway Stages and "The Good Wife" sponsored the event in collaboration with PS 110, the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance, the Park Church Co-Op, and Social Pants. The event featured a maze, pumpkin patch, Halloween games, face painting, and roasted corn.
Thank you to "The Good Wife" for the generous donation and everyone that came and organized the clean up at McGolrick Park. We hosted sing-alongs for kids and a nature walk, and volunteers picked up nearly 100 bags of trash.
Broadway Stages would like to congratulate the Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Carlo Scissura of Brooklyn Chamber and their amazing staffs for putting together a successful Italian Heritage Day celebration at Borough Hall.
Broadway Stages donated books and backpacks for the Back to School Fair with the Greenpoint YMCA. They also donated funds to provide scholarship opportunities for families in Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
Broadway Stages is always looking for opportunities to support the local arts community and expose children to arts and culture. We were happy to donate a generator to the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, which was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organization "committed to reaching youth through music and video."

Broadway Stages was happy to support the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance as it hosted a movie night in the park. Locals came together to watch the classic 1985 movie "The Goonies" last night. Broadway Stages would like to thank everyone who came for a fantastic night of free popcorn, ice cream, and "The Goonies!"
