Broadway Stages celebrates the talent, dedication, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit of the 2021 USA Olympic Team. We offer our congratulations to all who participated and applaud those who went home victoriously.

The members of the USA Women’s Track and Field team were a standout at the 2021 Olympics, among others. We are especially proud of Jamaica, Queens local, Dalilah Muhammad, who brought home a silver medal in the 400-meter hurdle final. The 31-year-old was in the lead after clearing the final hurdle but was surpassed by 21-year-old teammate Sydney McLaughlin who clinched the gold. Both ladies surpassed their personal best time. McLaughlin shattered the world record with a time of 51.46 seconds. Muhammad’s time of 51.58 seconds would have been a new world record were it not for McLaughlin. The pair’s exemplary performance brought home a 1-2 finish for Team USA! We could not be prouder of Muhammad’s performance and hard work that helped her bring home the silver. Welcome home!
