Thank you to Evergreen Exchange for organizing a successful solar talk and tour with the Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation, Solar One, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and the NYSERDA EDGE (Economic Development Growth Extension) team from the Pratt Center for Community Development. A huge thank you to our friends David Buckner and John Salmon from Solar One for offering everyone a first glance at their very first project at Broadway Stages!

Broadway Stages Goes Green With Town Square

Saturday was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and Town Square made it even more beautiful! At the Go Green! Festival, participants learned about sustainability initiatives in North Brooklyn while enjoying local food, live music, dance performances, and arts and crafts.

A big thank you to Susan Anderson, chairperson of Town Square, for organizing yet another wonderful day for our community.

Broadway Stages Helps Alliance Clean Up McGolrick Park

On May 30, Broadway Stages teamed up with the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance for the first cleanup day of the season.

Neighbors, officials, and local businesses all came together early Saturday morning to lend a helping hand. Together, we were able to suggest locations for the placement of new trash cans and collect data to help find the sources of our litter problem.

We are always happy to lend a hand to make Greenpoint a great place to work, play, and live!

Broadway Stages Helps Clean Up McGolrick Park in Greenpoint

Broadway Stages volunteers got dirty by cleaning up today. We helped dispose of 250 bags of garbage as part of the McGolrick Park Clean Up Day Honoring Marie Sadowski. We also removed overgrown ragweed and pokeweed from the garden beds.

We were happy to work alongside members of the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance (MPNA), a group of organized community leaders and residents working to improve McGolrick Park and our neighborhood.
