This week would like to share the story of our friends at Solar Energy Systems.
Broadway Stages takes pride in being a responsible neighbor, actively supporting economic, social, and environmental initiatives that benefit our community. One of our most prominent investments in the health of our community is the 50,000 square feet of solar electric facilities on five of our soundstage buildings throughout Brooklyn. In 2010 Broadway Stages teamed with Brooklyn-based Solar Energy Systems to install and maintain these facilities.
Founded in 1998, Solar Energy Systems, LLC (SES) is a leading integrator of commercial solar electric systems in the northeastern United States. They have worked in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. SES brings the advantages of solar energy to commercial and industrial clients, nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, and government agencies.
The general public is becoming more aware of the benefits of solar power. But the process remains somewhat complex. SES takes the burden off the consumer’s shoulders and navigates policies, regulations, and incentives critical to delivering a successful project. After assessing the customer’s site, SES recommends a system that best accommodates the specific needs of a client and maximizes both solar energy output and the resulting economic and environmental benefits. And since they are not allied with any one manufacturer, they recommend and utilize only the most appropriate options for the unique needs of each site. Learn more about SES and their approach to solar energy in the video below.
Did you know that New York offers an excellent selection of state incentives that make going solar more affordable? And the Federal Solar Tax Credit provides a tax credit equal to 30% of the total cost of the solar installation. SES helps the consumer navigate these incentives to make solar power an affordable option. Moreover, in 2011, SES launched SES Renewable Assets (SESRA), a dedicated solar financing division providing financing options for solar systems at little or no upfront cost to their customers. SES financing programs include Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Solar Leases that minimize or eliminate the cost of ownership.
You can learn more and stay informed about SES and solar power by following them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The solar panels at Broadway Stages have helped offset approximately one-third of our annual electricity consumption, improve air quality, increase the power grid’s reliability during peak demand, and create jobs. If your business is interested in solar power, give SES a call and see how they can help bring value to your business and benefits to our planet.
