Monica Holowacz Recognized as Woman of Distinction
On this last day of Women’s History Month, we are proud to announce that our own Monica Holowacz was recently honored by Ujima Community Working Together with the Committed Community Partner Award at the 2nd Bushwick Women of Distinction celebration held earlier this month.
In addition to Monica, the other honorees included NYPD Deputy Inspector Alexandra Sarubbi – First Hispanic Female Inspector at the 83rd Precinct – and Annie Ruth Brown – Longtime Bushwick Resident and Senior Gun Violence Survivor.
As Broadway Stages’ Director of Community Relations, Monica has dedicated herself to supporting local organizations and helping those in need. She has been instrumental in organizing events and initiatives that promote community involvement and empowerment, including food and coat drives, educational programs, and cultural festivals.
Monica's commitment to community-building aligns with Broadway Stages’ business philosophy and pledge to giving back. Her work has had a profound impact on the neighborhoods where we have operations and served to not only provide assistance to those in need, but also help to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among community members. Her recognition as a Woman of Distinction during Women's History Month is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and the positive impact she has made in our community.
Monica and the other honorees are a shining example of the power of individuals to effect change and make a difference in the world around them. We are proud to know that our community is represented by strong, like-minded women who are working toward a greater good and fostering community health and fellowship.
Please join us in congratulating Monica and saying Thank You for all you do!
