"The Good Fight" to End With Sixth Season
All good things must come to an end. On September 8, "The Good Fight" will return for its sixth and final season on Paramount+. Our facilities in Brooklyn have served as filming locations for all six seasons of "The Good Fight" and its predecessor, CBS's "The Good Wife," which ran for seven seasons from 2009 to 2016.
Executive produced by Robert and Michelle King, the drama series regularly tackles the headlines of the day as Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), Liz Lawrence (Audra McDonald), and their colleagues at Reddick & Associates try to make sense of the changing world around them. Broadway Stages has a longstanding relationship with the Kings, CBS, and Paramount+, as our studios also serve as filming locations for their latest production, "Evil," currently airing its third season.
In an interview with "The Hollywood Reporter," the Kings said that in the final season of "The Good Fight," Diane will face an "uneasy sense of déjà vu, with everything from Roe v. Wade, to voting rights, to Cold War aggressions returning," leaving her and her colleagues fearing an impending civil war.
As previously reported, Emmy winner André Braugher will appear as a series regular in the upcoming season. He is well-known for his starring roles on long-running TV shows like "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Homicide: Life on the Street." Alan Cumming, who played political consultant Eli Gold on all seven seasons of "The Good Wife," will reprise his role as a guest star on several episodes. Longtime cast members Delroy Lindo and Cush Jumbo will reportedly not return.
We have truly enjoyed watching the series evolve over the course of six seasons, and we can't wait to see what the Kings will do next. Be sure to tune in to Paramount+ on September 8 for the season premiere of the final season of "The Good Fight."
