New York's film and television industry continues its recovery from the impact of COVID-19.  The industry's hardworking cast and crew members not only shine a light on important issues that affect the communities in which we live and work, but also they boost the local and state economy. For almost 40 years Broadway Stages has played a role in this industry, and we are proud to continue to be a part of it all. Here is a quick look at some of the amazing productions being filmed at our facilities.

 Apple TV+ Anthology Series "Extrapolations" Adds to Star-Studded Cast

Broadway Stages is excited to work with the talented cast and crew of "Extrapolations," an upcoming anthology series that explores how climate change impacts people across the planet.

As we previously reported, series creator, writer, and director Scott Z. Burns ("An Inconvenient Truth") has compiled a large and diverse cast that includes Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker, and Marion Cotillard. We recently learned that Murray Bartlett ("The White Lotus") is joining the production, along with Diane Lane, Heather Graham, Judd Hirsch, Yara Shahidi ("black-ish"), Hari Nef ("Transparent"), and singer/songwriters Ben Harper and Neska Rose.

The eight-episode series features a who's who of Hollywood talent, including Tobey Maguire, Edward Norton, David Schwimmer, Kit Harington, Daveed Diggs, Sienna Miller, Tahar Rahim, Matthew Rhys, Gemma Chan, Eiza González, Indira Varma, Keri Russell, Cherry Jones, Michael Gandolfini, and Adarsh Gourav.  We anticipate the series will drop sometime this year.

 "Hello Tomorrow!" Announces New Castmember

Dagmara Dominczyk will star alongside Billy Crudup in the Apple TV+ original series "Hello Tomorrow!" filming at our facilities. Viewers of HBO's critically acclaimed "Succession" should recognize Dominczyk as Karolina Novotney, Waystar Royco's head of public relations. The busy actress also co-stars in the Netflix original film "The Lost Daughter" and will star in HBO's upcoming limited series "We Own This City."

 "Hello Tomorrow!" follows a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares. Emmy winner Crudup ("The Morning Show") stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers and revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.

Dominczyk will play Elle, a wealthy widow. Emmy winner Hank Azaria, Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nick Podany, Dewshane Williams, and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver are part of the large ensemble cast. Series creator Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Apple TV+ has not announced a premiere date yet, but the 10-episode first season should be available to the service's 20 million subscribers sometime this year.

 Showtime's "Let the Right One In" Adds "Fear the Walking Dead" Actor to Cast

 As we previously reported, Showtime has ordered 10 episodes of "Let the Right One In," a vampire drama series adapted from the popular Swedish novel of the same name. Nick Stahl, who guest-starred as Riley in season six of "Fear the Walking Dead," recently joined the cast. He will appear alongside another veteran of the zombie apocalypse franchise, Kevin Carroll, who has played Virgil on "The Walking Dead" since 2019.

 John Ajvide Lindqvist's 2004 novel takes place in suburban Stockholm, but showrunner Andrew Hinderaker (Netflix's "Away") has moved the action to New York. Oscar-nominee Demián Bichir ("A Better Life") will portray Mark, a father whose daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez) has been turned into a vampire. Jacob Buster, Ian Foreman, Anika Noni Rose, and Grace Gummer round out the cast. Seith Mann, who has directed episodes of "The Wire," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Fringe," will direct.

 Dylan McDermott Leaving "Law & Order: Organized Crime" to Join "FBI: Most Wanted"

 Dylan McDermott is moving from one Dick Wolf drama filmed at Broadway Stages to another. He portrays the villainous crime boss Richard Wheatley on "Law & Order: Organized Crime," currently in its second season on NBC. It would appear that his character will soon get his comeuppance, as McDermott will not be returning to the series.

CBS has not given many details on his new role on "FBI: Most Wanted," but with the recent announcement that star Julian McMahon is leaving after three seasons, it seems likely that McDermott will have a starring role. "FBI: Most Wanted" is the first spin-off from Dick Wolf's drama "FBI," which is currently in its fourth season. McDermott famously portrayed Bobby Donnell on ABC's "The Practice" for seven seasons and appeared in four seasons of FX's anthology series "American Horror Story."

 "Law & Order: Organized Crime" returned this week from a month-long hiatus with a few new faces. Denis Leary portrays Frank Donnelly, a member of the NYPD, while Jennifer Beals will play a recurring role as the wife of Mykelti Williamson's drug kingpin Preston Webb.

 "Harlem" and "Billions" Renewed

We are happy to report that two series filmed at our facilities – Amazon's "Harlem" and Showtime's "Billions" – will be returning for new seasons. We love bringing a wide variety of programming to life, and these two productions truly demonstrate the diverse output of New York's film and television industry.

Tracy Oliver's comedy series "Harlem" will return for a second season. Filmed at our Foster Avenue studio in Brooklyn, "Harlem" follows four young Black women supporting each other as they navigate their careers and look for love in New York City. The show stars Meagan Good ("Minority Report") as Camille, an anthropology professor at Columbia; Grace Byers ("Empire") as Quinn, a fashion designer; Shoniqua Shandai ("I Am the Night") as Angie, an aspiring singer and actress; and Jerrie Johnson ("Mother's Milk") as Tye, a queer dating-app creator.

Showtime's acclaimed drama "Billions" is currently airing its sixth season (minus longtime star Damian Lewis) and will be back for a seventh. Lewis portrayed the cunning billionaire hedge fund manager Bobby "Axe" Axelrod for five seasons, but now New York Attorney General Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) has switched his sights to Michael Prince (Corey Stoll). Broadway Stages has been the production partner of choice for all six seasons of "Billions," and we are so excited to see what happens next.
