Celebrating the Arts | Abby Moskowitz Brooklyn-Based Documentary and Portrait Photographer
The New York City area is full of talented artists whose work reflects the diverse and rich communities, ideas, and lives around us. Broadway Stages is committed to promoting these individuals and their talents so a wider audience can enjoy their creativity and passion. In this post, we feature Abby Moskowitz, a Brooklyn-based documentary and portrait photographer who showcases the unique personalities and experiences of the people and places featured in her work. Her portfolio is diverse, spanning from portraiture in relaxed and everyday settings, allowing the subject’s essence to jump through the photo, to various city scenes that show - from unique vantage points - the architecture, transportation, businesses, and people that make the city hum with life, as well as the quiet beauty of everyday places.
Of note are two photo documentary series undertaken by Moskowitz that bring awareness and insight into women’s issues, following the lives of eleven women for a year (“The Women’s Series”) and to the challenges families face related to children’s mental health, documenting the lives of three children and their families (“Our Normal”).
