Charity Spotlight | JCC of Staten Island
We head over to Staten Island for this month’s Charity Spotlight and the Joan and Alan Bernikow Jewish Community Center (JCC). The JCC of Staten Island was founded in 1929 with the goal of creating a home for the Jewish community by offering social, recreational, and educational activities. Over time, that mission expanded to help anyone who walks through the doors of any of their facilities. The JCC has become a true community center — not just for the Jewish community, but for the entirety of Staten Island.
Dedicated to encouraging harmony throughout the community, JCC of Staten Island provides facilities and programs that are open to all regardless of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or political affiliation. Everyone is welcome at the JCC. The services offered are intended to help improve the quality of life for people on Staten Island and beyond. Check out their program guide for a full list of upcoming programs, both remote and in-person. Of course, all in-person programs comply with government guidelines and safety regulations.
If you are not familiar with JCC of Staten Island we encourage you to learn about the organization, their centers of excellence and services. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization donations are welcome and help JCC to continue serving our community. Please join us in supporting the JCC of Staten Island.
