Business Spotlight | Laila’s – Mediterranean Restaurant on Staten Island
Welcome to Broadway Stages’ Business Spotlight, where we feature local shops, restaurants and venues in the communities where we have operations. We encourage our readers to join us in supporting these establishments and advancing local economic growth.
Hailing from Damascus, among the oldest cities in the world, Laila’s has found a home near Staten Island’s south-western shore. This Syrian restaurant erupted onto Staten Island’s food scene in early 2019 and immediately people took notice. Not only were they the first to bring Syrian fare to Tottenville, but they’re also masters of their craft, as seen through their menu which celebrates some of the lesser known and more interesting facets of Syrian cuisine.
Guests should have no problem finding time to order for pick-up or delivery since Laila’s is open six days a week with the exclusion of Monday; hours can be found on their Google listing. Laila’s menu offers a wealth of small, lovingly crafted dishes that makes it an ideal choice for sharing, although that doesn’t mean they lack in the entrée department either. There you’ll find authentic Syrian fare as well as some new takes on classic dishes that are sure to please those looking for something out of the ordinary.
Don’t believe us? Just take a look at their website’s gallery or Facebook page and see for yourself what you’ve been missing! If this sounds like just the thing you’ve been looking for to change up your take-out rotation, then grab your mask, head over to Laila’s and tell them Broadway Stages sent you.
