Brooklyn Chamber Celebrates Black History Month
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce [BKCOC] will host their annual Black History Month celebration on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The virtual celebration will salute distinguished honorees for their community contributions and will feature the Brooklyn-based African dance troupe Infetayo and pay tribute to those we lost in 2020.
Among those being recognized is Dr. Melody Samuels, Founder and Executive Director of The Campaign Against Hunger, an organization we support that is working tirelessly to battle food insecurity in our community. Broadway stages extends our congratulations to Dr. Samuels as well as honoree Giovanni Taveras, founder New York State Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and Lisa Bing, Founder of the Bing Consulting Group, who will receive the Samuel Dunston Award for Business Excellence. Please join us in saying congratulations to the honorees for the work they do in our community. To register for the event, click here.
