Staten Island Children’s Museum | Fall Programming
At Broadway Stages, we love to tell you about the wonderful array of NYC-area organizations that provide resources and programming to enrich our lives. One such organization is the Staten Island Children’s Museum. Their fall programming schedule provides exciting opportunities to engage your child intellectually, physically, and socially. For example, children ages 4-8 can learn about art and science in a fun way through the Outdoor Explorers After-school Program, which will meet each Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from October 13 through November 19. Activities include games, scavenger hunts, nature walks, art, music, and exploration of the museum’s indoor and outdoor exhibits. Participants may choose one or multiple days for the 6-week session. See the museum website for registration and fee information.
There are also several free upcoming events, including storytelling, art, and nature workshops. For example, explore native and invasive plants on Sunday, October 17, or create wearable electronics on Saturday, October 23. If you are looking for virtual opportunities to experience the museum in your home, check out their online resources page, including worksheets and an extensive video collection. Bookmark the museum’s calendar of events to keep up with their full schedule. We also encourage you to check out their Instagram and Facebook pages to keep up with the latest goings-on at the Museum.
