Broadway Stages is happy to report that several actors and productions filmed at our soundstages have been nominated for the Critics’ Choice Awards.

Streaming services have made major inroads in the awards circuit over the past year. “The Good Fight,” which airs on CBS All Access, is up for Best Drama Series. We have a longstanding relationship with the show and its creators dating back to the drama’s predecessor, “The Good Wife.” We cannot be prouder of its success. Additionally, the show’s lead actress Christine Baranski is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Be on the lookout for an announcement about the release date for season five later this year.

On the dark comedy side, HBO Max’s “The Flight Attendant” is up for two awards – Best Comedy Series and Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Kaley Cuoco. The comedic thriller focuses on an alcoholic flight attendant who sleeps with a passenger and wakes up the next morning beside his dead body with little memory of the night before. The first season was a big success for HBO Max, and a second season is filming now at our facilities in Brooklyn.

There is no doubt that 2020 was a very difficult year that hit New York City’s film and television industry hard. We are thrilled that productions are safely returning, bringing with them economic benefits for the city, our communities, and small businesses that help make everything happen.
