Business Spotlight | Davey's Ice Cream
This week’s Business Spotlight is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth. Rated by ZAGAT as one of NYC’s best, we bring you Davey’s Ice. Their amazing ice cream flavors and signature treats like made-to-order ice cream sandwiches, pie milkshakes and ice cream floats will take you back to your best childhood foodie memories. But that’s not all folks, Davey’s does ice cream by the pint or cone and cakes for everyday celebrations like birthdays and even weddings, and their menu includes an array of sundaes, homemade baked goods and drinks. What else could anyone need? Well how about a commitment to quality. Davey’s takes their ice cream seriously. They formulate and pasteurize their own ice cream bases in-house to ensure the highest quality standards throughout all of their flavors and use local Hudson Valley fresh milk and cream from local New York State creameries. And they love to work with local businesses and restaurants to create unique and limited edition flavors. Folks, this is one business that supports their local and state economy. The man behind the ice cream is owner David Yoo, a former graphic designer turned ice cream afficionado. He opened his first storefront in East Village on Friday the 13th in 2013 (13 is now officially a lucky number) and the rest is history. They made their way to Brooklyn via Williamsburg and their shop in Greenpoint at 74 Meserole Avenue. The East Village and Greenpoint shops are now open for take-out and delivery. Check out their current menu at UberEATS, Postmates, DoorDash then place an order, and tell them that Broadway Stages sent you. Enjoy!
