Supporting our Community | Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
With more than 35 years in operation, giving back to our community has always been a cornerstone of our business philosophy. Today, more than ever, as our health care workers continue to battle the impact of COVID-19, as community leaders work toward reopening our city, and as we face the cries of inequality and racism, it’s important to understand the needs of our community and compassionately provide assistance.
Broadway Stages is committed to our community, and grateful to our amazing staff, business associates and clients who have joined us in supporting our neighbors. We are proud of the collective assistance we have been able to provide to our community and encourage those who are able to join us in supporting the initiatives we have been involved with. Please take a look at the opportunities listed below the photo gallery and consider a donation or volunteer opportunity. We encourage you to join us as a community partner. Together we will get through these tough times and together we will welcome an equitable and prosperous tomorrow!
North Brooklyn Angels – Feeding those in need and front liners fighting COVID-19. This amazing organization is always looking for volunteers. Watch for the Angel Mobile delivering meals throughout North Brooklyn.
Ujima Community Working Together, Inc. – Led by Anita Haines, this organization provides support to the Bushwick community throughout the year. Recently, in response to COVID-19, a food bank was set up and we partnered with local Syrena Bakery to provide 200 loaves of freshly baked bread.
Remote learning school supplies – Contact your local school to determine specific needs. Broadway Stages supported the Community School District 23 remote learning supplies drive led by Senator Roxanne Persaud and school superintendent Dr. Miatheresa Pate.
The Campaign Against Hunger - Feeding those in need across the City via our Foster Avenue warehouse that we offered as a food collection and distribution center.
