It was a tasty evening filled with cameraderie, community fellowship and fundraising for the Ridgewood YMCA.  On Thursday, October 17th Taste of Ridgewood was held at the Ridgewood YMCA. This annual tasting event represented the diversity of Queens with a variety of restaurants* that came out to support the Y’s capital campaign.  Thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and attendees, the Ridgewood YMCA was able to raise much needed money for the various programs they offer to the residents of Queens. In addition, two YMCA champions were recognized, namely Domenico Ciaccio, Assistant VP at Ridgewood Savings Bank, and Barbara Toscano, Executive Director of the Peter Cardella Senior Center.  Without champions like Domenico and Barbara, and the many sponsors who support the Y, they would not be able to provide the numerous services and programs that help make Queens such a great community.  Broadway Stages is proud to have been a gold level sponsor of this event and we encourage you to support your local YMCA by joining, making a contribution, volunteering or attending one of their fundraisers.  Congratulations to the Ridgewood YMCA and thanks to all who contributed to the success of this event.
